Extraction

The best donor site is the midoccipital area of the scalp as the hairs in this area have best texture and curl and are least likely to turn into grey. The other donor area which can be used are the legs. The grafts are extracted by using FUE method.

Implantation

Fine one–haired grafts are placed at the “feathering zones” and at the periphery. Two–haired grafts are placed at the central areas. After implantation they are evaluated again with the patients for any adjustments to be made in symmetry and overall appearance.

Post operative care

The eyebrows should be kept dry for 5 days. The implanted hairs will fall out in 2–3 weeks and the regrowth starts in about 3 months. If scalp is used as the donor area, bi-weekly trimming is required.
